Finding the perfect blazer for me has been a very tedious job, to be honest. I have always wanted one since I started blogging and I even craved for more ever since I started following Eunice and Victory on IG. Their blazer look makes you want to wear a blazer every day even though Nigeria weather won’t permit me.
It’s not like I haven’t found other blazers while thrifting, but the color is either off or it’s not long enough or I just totally hate the fit. I bet you want to know how I found this one right? well I was just walking home on this particular day and I was distracted by a man shouting “buy your jacket 300 no more 1000” (some of you should be able to relate to this) and I decided to check if I will find any gem. Lo and behold, I found two! this one and a really light coral one which you guys will be seeing here soon. I got the two for 500 naira.
When I got home, I fell in love with this one immediately I put it on. it’s a structured vintage blazer which was probably owned by an old lady somewhere in the world because I found a really vintage looking handkerchief nicely folded in the pocket of the blazer. I snatched out the shoulder pad cause I wasn’t really feeling it. I already have like 101 ways in my head to style this blazer and this is just one of the looks.
In my opinion, the perfect blazer should have a nice fit and shouldn’t be tight. It should be a color you can pair with a lot of outfits.
